Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 I like the downhill skiing and jumping and also the luge to name a few events, I'll be watching pretty much everything except figure skating!! GO USA
Eyesa Horg Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Bummed that one of neighbors didn't quite make it into the womens ski jump, maybe next time! Mikeala Shiffren is originaly from our area.
Clay Mosby Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Entertaining Opening ceremony. Will likely watch downhill and hockey.

GO USA I like curling, biathlon, and luge/skeleton, myself. I gave up on figure skating when they took the "school figures" out. Now it's just more ice dancing.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Biathlon. Anybody who’s done cross country skiing knows how hard it must be do expend that much energy with the gross muscles and then instantly try to ramp it down for precision shooting. I am disappointed that there are still no reindeer events. Just seems wrong.

I agree about the biathlon. I never really thought about it until I tried cross country skiing a few years back.
Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 10, 2018 Author Posted February 10, 2018 I forgot all about the biathlon but they never show it at regular hours, NBC doesn't want you to see shooting of any kind!

Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Yummmm, reindeer steaks.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Summer games have equestrian events. Winter games need ungulates, sez I.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 No cable at our house, so we won't see much as most of the coverage is on NBCSN. The prime-time coverage is mostly snippets of the day's earlier events.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 So far I seem to be enjoying this more than the Sochi games for some reason.

Asa Smith Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 How about those gauntlets! Maybe there is still a little cowboy left in all of us.

Michigan Slim Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I went ice fishing today. That count?
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 If I was into curling, i’d See if I could take one of those rocks home for the mantle
Capt. James H. Callahan Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I watched a whole crapload of commercials last night. They did show a bit of the Olympics in between! I paused the DVR for like 45 min. and still spent more time FF thru commercials than watching the Games. Pitiful. NBC's coverage continues to be a joke. JHC
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Australians know how to ski?
Happy Jack, SASS #20451 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I'm watching the Westminster DOG SHOW this evening and tomorrow evening. FS1 Can see everything that was significant on A 5 minute news update.

Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I watched Biathalon this morning on NBCSN. It’s on NBC this afternoon.
Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 The biathalon was on last night, loved it!
Buckaroo Bubba Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I love watching the Olympics. My daughter really enjoys watching the Figure Skating and such. So if I can sit there and enjoy something with her I will do it. I just think it is neat to be able to see something different. Always impressed at the Speed Skaters, Skiers, Snowboarders.. Go Team USA!
