July Smith
This is going to hurt, but I better list this one before people get their tax returns back. Beautiful CPA rifle, 3-barrel set. Calibers are 22L.R., 40-65, and 45-70. I bought this rifle used 5-6 years ago with the hopes of getting into BPCR shooting, but in that time priorities, interests, and finances have changed. I’ve only ever shot it as a 22LR. This rifle originally started life as a 40-65 with a left handed stock. (I still have the original stock and it is just as pretty as the current right handed one). About a year after I bought this rifle I sent it back to CPA to have a new right handed stock fitted and the 22LR and 45-70 barrels properly fitted. The rifle is currently shown with the 40-65 barrel on, and a 6 power MVA scope. All the barrels are dovetailed for front sights and have scope bases. The rifle weighs approximately 12lbs according to my bathroom scale. The tang is drilled and tapped for a tang sight. 40-65 barrel has an MVA spirit level front sight already installed. 30” 40-65 barrel. 28” 22L.R. barrel that has been trimmed to closely match the weight of the 40-65 barrel. 26.5” full octagon 45-70 barrel. The 45-70 barrel has its own forehand, the 22cal and 40cal barrel share the same forehand. Included is the extra breach block and extractor to convert between center fire and rim fire calibers along with the original left handed stock. Also included is a Pelican case I bought specifically for this rifle to securely hold it and the extra barrels. Like I said before I bought this rifle used, there is some wear and handling marks, but over all this is a beautiful rifle with everything a BPCR shooter could ask for. Asking $4000 but open to offers and partial trades. Would also be willing to work out payments for SASS members with positive feedback. I would be interested in a rifle or pair of revolvers in 44-40. For those interested in seeing this rifle in person I try to shoot with the Texican Rangers in Comfort, TX on a monthly basis. I am willing to ship to an FFL that will accept shipments from an individual, but because of the weight of both the rifle and pelican case shipping will cost $150. I will allow a 3-day non firing inspection period from the time the rifle reaches your FFL. If in that time you feel I have grossly misrepresented this rifle just cover return shipping and I will refund your $4k. Thanks for looking! Please PM all offers.
