My grand dad left me an early model Winchester Model 71. Curious if I can use it for side matches. It’s chambered in .348 Win

Probably wouldn't be allowed for the same reason the 375 Winchester isn't. Not a traditional period cartridge. SHB pg 30

That’s what I thought. I know it’s a clone of the 1886, didn’t think about the cartridge not being era specific.
