Charlie T Waite
You forgot The Puckle gun (also known as the Defence gun) crew-served, manually-operated flintlock revolver patented in 1718 by James Puckle (1667–1724) a British inventor, lawyer and writer. By the way when they say our forefather never imagined the type of firearms we have today you can tell them "It was one of the earliest firearms to be referred to as a "machine gun", being called such in a 1722 shipping manifest. There was also the 1670 22-bore French Flintlock Revolving Rifle with 3 revolving chambers, each fitted with its own striker and spring. There are others as well but this was the first ones to come to mind. Charlie Link to comment

Tell Sackett SASS 18436
Actually Dan, there's a book with just that premise. Unfortunatley I don't remember the title or author. Too long ago. Link to comment
