Ripsaw
I found an SKB model 100 in pristine condition today at a local gun shop. It is marked Mitsui, Chicago, IL. So it is not an Ithaca gun. As I understand it, Mitsui took over importing SKBs after Ithaca went belly-up. That arrangement only lasted a few years apparently. I paid $799 for the gun. Pistol grip, inertial trigger with selector button, recoil pad, beaver tail forearm. 3 inch chambers. Nicely finished stock. During test firing, I confirmed that the inertial trigger resets consistently with Win AA LNLR factory ammo. Any concerns that this is a Mitsui vs. an Ithaca? Looks nearly identical except the receiver looks embossed rather than engraved like my other SKB, an Ithaca Model 200.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Doesn't matter who the importer was. If it is an SKB it is an SKB. I have seen some with no marking of any kind.
