Kirk James
Congratulations to Robin DeVault and Echo Meadows for winning overall at the Verde Valley Range Wars. This is an excellent match you must attend. Congrats to Matt Younger and Johnny Meadow, match directors, who put on the perfect match and a great w arm up for Eldorado and Bordertown. Targets were close with well written stages . Thanks to Tom Elder, Javalina Hattie, and Whispering Meadows as well as the crew that put up and broke down the stages. Speed and long range events, chili cook off, pot luck, swap meet as well as a team shoot were a fun time. The events brass pickers raised money for Immaculate Conception Catholic School to purchase basketball uniforms and also assisted students for other causes. Over $1100 was raised. Ruger and Camp Verde Gunwork’s donated firearms for the event which were part of a free drawing to all participants and a raffle to raise money for the brass pickers. Weather was perfect. Thanks to all who participated who made the match not only competitive, but fun.
