Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 I faithfully read all the WTC threads and must admit I seem to learn (or remember) something from everyone. I was working on stages for our match on the 23rd and for the stage with 8 KDs I was sure to put "shotgun shells may be staged on any or all shelves" ( there are 4 of them.) This way I can head off potential 'discussions' ahead of time. cheyenne
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Great handling of that! good luck, GJ

Ramblin Gambler Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 3 misses and a P. Wait, what was the question?

Lead Monger Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 The nuances of a friendly sport make for some great reading. And then there are those times, I just don't get it.

Cowboy Junky Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 What I learn from them is it's harder than you think to make the right call period. Even when sitting in the chair relaxed and with plenty of time to think many experienced shooters still make the wrong calls in the threads and PW has to rescue us........lol. So remember that when the RO has .3 seconds to assist you in the heat of battle. Remember that the next time you get upset at the RO. Or better yet don't get upset take the timer and run the next 10 shooters. Strive for perfection but understand we are all human.

I hope Icing the puck is one of the opening lines tomorrow. If I make to the shoot, I bet it will be.
Hoss Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 what I've learned is to not "think" I know the answer, but rather, look it up. follow the flow chart. don't assume anything. I follow most of the WTC threads because oddball things do happen.

Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 When I became a TG in 2004, I decided that I should read the Wire for the WTC threads. Since it was stated that TGs should have a refresher every two years, I have done that. I still don't get things right every time. So, I always carry the booklets to every match I attend.
