Plus mommas little kittys got out and now both are waddling around. I knew i should have had them fixed but momma said she would Make sure they never get out. I had some once but I also had a hound dog that had a taste for quail and a son who left the gate open. now i don't have any quail. I want more though. Ive got a silkie hen that loves to set so I'm going to try her first. If not i do have an incubator. From my fridge, an XL egg is 64 g (the spec is 63.8 to 70.8, shell in. A quail egg was 13 g. Shells are very thin. I use them boiled and halved for making salads . (Caesar salad, Ukrainian style. It's not for cost savings but just the cool factor. We can get 5 doz chicken eggs here for 2 bucks.
