Be careful if you come up with a pin or badge and read my post Pistoleros Attention! We've been told we can't advertise these on the wire so just a heads up you two handed pards!

Allie, the fact that those websites also called "brave" a racial slur is enough for me to know there's nothing wrong with squaw.  But in this case, people obviously feel it's at least slightly derogatory, so a different name is needed.

I recommend something with "orthodox" in it since it's the style most people use and was the original style in SASS (according to a couple of old timers who have weighed in here).

I was going to suggest old timers style, but I reckon some might think that's a slight too.

Since we all know 2 handed is the more efficient way to shoot.

For a pin idea, when I was just starting and shooting double duelist, a guy at the my club named cheyenne ranger (he posts here too) said "If God had given me 3 hands, I'd have all 3 on the gun"  In light of that, maybe the pin can be a 6 shooter with 3 hands holding it.

I'm a two-handed gripper. I feel that even before I read the racial inferences to "squaw," I did feel, it was basically an insult about one's manhood. On that basis alone I think it would be best to move on to a less controversial name.

I must agree with Allie Mo.  Those of us who grew up playing Cowboys and Indians see no harm or intended insult.  However, there are a lot of people out there who will see it as racism and sexism rolled into one.  While I personally enjoy mocking Antifas and snowflakes, do we really want our shooting organization, one that we hope to start growing again, to face the world mocking a significant portion of the population?  I can't get wrapped around the axle over this one, but I do think it's something you should consider.

Thank you JHQ; I agree.

It is best to let that term be. When we talk about "Cowboys and Indians," it may be best for our sport to be kind and careful about the feelings of those who may be represented by our sport.

Well sure, but it's no different than my football coach always calling us ladies or telling us we can fix our hair and makeup later.  It's a loving tease.  Anyone who doesn't understand that should.  Just the same way that those of us who like to tease need to understand that some people don't get it and we need to avoid it (at least while in mixed company).

Around here in the South it's not called a directional signal, it's called a turn predictor.  Just because the left blinker is on don't mean they're gonna turn left

And I know you didn't ask but I do change my blinker fluid regularly. :D

To answer your question, it depends.  If I'm in a VERY narrow car I'll just roll down both windows and use both hands instead of the "directional signal!"

Do you use just one hand when you run a jack hammer?

So where do people like me fit in? I shoot B-western. Sometimes 2 handed, sometimes duelist,  sometimes gunfighter. Depends on the stage and how I feel like playing at that particular time.

Fun posts, I'll avoid the squaw thing, nothing to gain arguing about it.

I was thinking,

Two thumbs,

heavy handed

twice as sure

double trouble

and other silliness, but THUGS is pretty funny.

There is an absolutely wrong direction one could take this, so I'll ask instead; do you wax your mustache with one or both hands? B)
