Come On Christmas
I watch the YouTube videos of the newest Chinese version and they have problems ejecting shells. Is this an easy fix? Dang sure not spending over $1000 for one. Never should have sold my former Dangamatic. Crayfish
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
If the Original Lumpy Gritz doesn't chime in, send him a PM. You might also want to contact Lassiter, one of the master 'smiths on these guns.
John Barleycorn, SASS #76982
Do your self a favor buy an IAC. Better yet buy the one from Rooster Ron Wayne already set up by Lassiter for $
Come On Christmas
But that is not what I asked John. Is it an easy fix? Some of us retirees are working on a shoestring budget.
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Lots of of reasons they won't eject, from timing to extractor interference/drag. Post up a link to that video. Anything is easy to fix-When, you know what to do...... OLG

If I've learned one thing about firearms (and many other things) you get what you pay for. The PW-87 is a poorly made copy of a copy.

Come On Christmas
Ok thanks. CAI it is then. Duh, there are 10 CAI 1887's on Gunbroker cheaper than the newest Chinese knockoff.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Never heard of CAI. If you mean IAC, (Interstate Arms Corp.), they're a distributor, not a manufacturer. The PW87 is distributed by Century Arms. They're not a manufacturer either. It's like distributors Cimarron and Taylors, who don't make the guns, but import them from Italy. IIRC, IAC isn't importing the 1887 anymore, so those that you see are used and would explain the difference in price between them and new PW87s. Both guns are of Chinese manufacture and a "knockoff" of the Winchester 1887. I've no idea who made the IAC imported gun, or the Century imported gun. What I do know is that new, out of the box, the Century PW87 has a worse reputation than the older IAC 1887. Good luck!

But it needs to be done by a professional. Lasseter can tune them up very nice . I have one for sale in the Classifieds that Lasseter tuned his self last year. And it functions great . Im only selling because I had a Motorcycle crash last year . And Im not able to shoot as much now . Health issues . Rooster
