Wild Wild West, the movie

Recommended Posts

Now streaming on Netflix. Had never seen it and thought maybe it could be a mindless, guilty pleasure like "Maverick" (1994), and "The Quick and the Dead" (1995).

Turned it off after 15 minutes. IMO, it ranks right down there with "Lust in the Dust". What a stinker!

Yeah, "WWW-The Movie" REALLY is WWW-The Stinker.

How do they raise money to make tripe like this?

Oh, well.....

I liked it. It was different. The only thing western about it was the supposed location and it sure as heck didn't emulate the original series much but I liked it anyway.

If this is the one we're thinking of with Will Smith, Uno and I liked it too.  It was silly and fun.  Certainly didn't take itself seriously.

They should done it stand alone with no connection to the original. Those of that grew up with the original probably didn't care for it. But taken from a different perspective it was entertaining. Not one I'll watch twice though

You lasted 15 minutes,  Abeline? You beat me by about 5 minutes. And I like Will Smith as an actor. Oh well.

Honestly I'd rather watch Hateful Eight again than Wild Wild West.

Well, maybe not.

But I would definitely watch either over CNN. :D

Here's a couple of my favorite westerns:

"Support your Local Sheriff" (James Garner)

"Dirty Dingus McGee" (Frank Sinatra, George Kennedy, Anne Jackson)

I like these films because they are pure entertainment -- intended to get a laugh

I'm in the minority because I liked it.

But you didn't like "The Quick and the Dead" and its realistic portrayal of gunplay?! We'll have to have a screening of both films sometime. There will of course, be refreshments that might alter our opinions of them. Your twin should be there too. He can be the tie breaker if needed. :D:lol:
