I'll take 35 shipped for all 80, or will trade for most anything I can use looking for: 300 grn 38-55 sized to .380 butt cover for a 66 rifle, crescent butt plate If anybody has a source for 300 grn .380 Bullets please let me know. Glad you don't live near me. I like my mousers, they earn their keep! Mean while I am just starting to consider what I'd look for in a long range period rolling block rifle. 38-55 has my attention due to my .357 bent. Just lookin in. Hoss Posted July 31, 2017 Author Share Posted July 31, 2017 I like the 38-55. I also have 45-70, but just like the 38-55. Very accurate. I've shot mine to 500 meters. If you are shooting much past that may want to consider a larger caliber. Whatever rifle you get, don't scrimp on sights. I have Kelley Mid-range on mine. MVA also has very nice sights.
