Three Foot Johnson Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 ... at the Montana State shoot last weekend - another pair of stainless 4 5/8" Ruger/Lipsey's .44 specials. I already had three, but the price was right, they have SBH hammers already installed with the original hammers in the boxes, and the deal included 500+ pieces of brass, 200 rounds of loaded ammo, and 800+ 165 grain bullets. Unfortunately, I found out at today's shoot that there are some misses still in them. There were only about 500 produced in each of 4 configurations, so I reckon I've effectively got 1% of the total production of this version. Time to start adding the other three versions now... 3 3/4" blue - 510 3 3/4" stainless - 510 4 5/8" blue - 500 4 5/8" stainless - 503
Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 By golly now that's well done and proud of you!
Rex M Rugers #6621 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Good on you , J Bar. Glad to see someone who appreciates the 44s having a good many of them. I think you have pulled way ahead of Rooster Ron Wayne now. I like them myself , but at my age now the two blue ones that I have will be plenty. Congrats on a good find. Rex
Tom Bullweed Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Still trying to shoot the misses out my OMVs (I like that). Good find.
