Hi! I’m from Ben Beam & Co.

Recommended Posts

Ben Beam & Co. specializes in Old West ephemera to round out your persona, stock your chuckwagon, use as props or set dressing, or just for fun.

We offer bottle and can labels, replica tobacco pouches, customized photos, reproduction almanacs, and lots more. We’re constantly adding new items to our catalog, and are happy to take requests.

Please give us a visit at benbeam.com (or cowboyephemera.com if it’s easier to remember). Let me know if there’s anything we don’t currently offer that you’d like to see!

Added a few new items, including a set of labels for Big Wolf cigar boxes, which are a lot of fun.

We also now have William Tobin’s Boiled Mutton labels, which have a great backstory. Tobin sold canned “mutton” to the government for distribution to the Army and Navy, failing to mention that the mutton was actually goat meat. They soon changed it to roasted mutton, but that didn’t sell well either. They changed it again to Chili Con Carne (another label we offer), but no matter what name you put on it, people apparently don’t want to eat goat meat. The company closed shortly thereafter.

We also offer reproduction Arbuckle’s Sugar sacks (yes, the same Arbuckle’s that sold coffee to the cowboys). These are faithfully reproduced from an original, to the point of making them on a Singer 27 vibrating shuttle sewing machine. The sacks are perfect for using as a “war bag” to throw your personals into.

Drop by and take a look; even if you don’t buy anything there’s lots of fascinating historical info relating to the items: benbeam.com
