Did the name of the catagory come from the way a duel would be shot?  That is what I have always imagined. How about the name "Honor Guard". We would follow our own Code Duello. Defending our honor. Just a thought that the name doesn't need to include shoot, pistol, or the catagory name.

Nope! but you can buy two pins. One for each gun!:P

Exactly! Or set them into your grips!

What do we do about the pins?

Hand?

Glove?

Pistol?

Hand holding Pistol?

Since we've got voting on the name running, we might as well get some going on the pin. If y'all got any ideas I can get another poll going. I'd like a few options to vote from. Feel free to toss some out.

Deacon Henry, often when images won't copy and paste I save the image on my laptop or phone and then edit my post and add the image from the file I saved it in.

Those aren't bad but it would seem to be better for Gunfighters. If it was only one pistol maybe???

Perhaps crossed Dueling Pistols?

You can customize the background color n this one. They have 2 others, one with a silver background and one with a maroon background. They are sterling silver.

I cannot find any lapel pins with a single Single Action revolver that isn't lame...oh, wait:

Rye, you are correct.   They do resemble the GF pins and buckles.

If I had the knowhow, I would post a pix of the JEDI GF pin.  But the JEDI GF pin does have crossed revolvers, just like the pix that Deacon Henry posted.

I like the first single action, actually I think it's perfect!

Since we shoot only one gun at a time, I think that a single pistol would be best otherwise it starts looking like gunfighter pins.

I found this one. It's a vintage Colt lapel pin. We could see if we could get something simple like this made. Cast out of brass or pewter.

Dorado, I saw that one too. There are quite a few out there but unfortunately the sites selling them usually only have 1 or a few for sale.

It looks just like the Cravat pin, which I thought would be perfect for the Lady Duelists, if they wanted a cravat pin for their attire.

I did a search on the actual manufacturer of these pins but they only appear on Ebay and Etsy from various sellers. Funny, the same pins on Amazon are $20.

I could not find the manufacturer listed anywhere.

Just a thought

It shouldn't be that hard to have some new ones made. I've looked online at a few places and it's not too awful bad, around $3 each. Problem is that it'd require a 100 piece minimum purchase.

Yeah, that was why I was looking for pins that were already made and sold publicly but not prevalent and abundant.

How long do ya think it would take to get 100 members???

That'd be the easiest thing. I was thinking the same thing. Then instead of a couple designated people being responsible for the pins, we could just pass the link to the pin along.

Well I figured all those double duelists would want one for each hand. That should make up the difference, wouldn't it?

I have been shooting duelist for as long as I have been shooting handguns.. Started shooting standing sideways with hand on hip.  When I started CAS, I shot duelist as it was the "natural" way albeit the fast shooters all used two hands.  So, I tried two handed and quite quickly realized why I shoot one handed:  Arthur's itis has rendered my left thumb unreliable.      So duelist I was, am, and will be. Whatever we call ourselves, I'm all in.
