Rooster Ron Wayne Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 The First California AR15 . Thats acutely is a reasonable fix to the BS Kalifornia Laws !
Jailhouse Jim, SASS #13104 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 There are some quick release kits available for current AR's as well.
Attica Jack #23953 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Looks like a good idea. Maybe a better idea would be to get someone voted into office to repeal these gun restrictions.
Pat Riot Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Had I still lived in CA with all the "stuff" that was coming down and before Mr. Obama had left office I would have just sold my ARs and bought an M1A with the proceeds. But, I moved to Oregon where there are no restrictions (yet) and sold the 3 ARs that I had built in CA anyway...irony... I didn't need 3 ARs that all shot 5.56. I was able to sell the Mall Ninja guns and one basic model and buy some nice S&W revolvers. If I still lived in CA I would probably not bother with fussing with an AR to "make it legal". Oh, I am not saying I would have gotten rid of all of them...I just wouldn't be fussing with them to make them legal...nudge, nudge, , If I did somehow end up back in CA and wanted a legal AR type rifle I wouldn't fool with any of that silliness in regards to weird stocks and goofy mechanisms. I would buy this: Troy PAR - folding stock pump action AR. This is a long video. The first 30 seconds is all you really need to see to get the jist of this thing.
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 I would take a Mini 14 over a pump myself. I do not and Never would live in Kalifornia or Knew York . But I know the struggles they are fighting to Keep and Bear Arms . It really makes California and New York gun owners upset , When We say you can only fix this problem at the Voting both . But its the truth ! I am Not trying to bash California or New York gun owners . Im trying to support them . But I also would never live in a Communist State either. I think the AR 15 I posted about is a very good design, for what they have to live with over there. I hope and pray that the people of California and New York, Can vote some people out of office and change some laws. We all know Shit flows down hill . And if we dont support the Gun Owners stuck behind enemy lines ! We will find that line drawn at our home States one day ! We all need to fight this fight !
Pat Riot Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Rooster, it's funny but I have tried and tried to like a Mini-14 but they just do not fit me. It's the same with Ak-47s. Sure, they look cool but I find shooting them to be awkward. Having lived in CA for over 23 years period, 3 different times (left once for a year and a half and a 2nd time for 5) there are a lot of good folks fighting the good fight but it's been an uphill battle for decades.
J.D. Daily Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 This is the best CA workaround I've seen. It could be improved by machining the bolt catch to eliminate the step of depressing the bolt release. Also the magazine should drop when the when the & rifle opened. These mods would speed the reloading process. It is more likely that SCOTUS will grant cert to an AWB case and reaffirm Scalia's "Common Use" opinion in Heller than the legislature & governor change from hoplophobes to hoplophiles. P.S. The current CA AW law wouldn't have impeded the San Bernardino jihadi's any more than the 1999 AWB; since, their AR's were purchased the previous year from a CA retailer. They probably took a short trip to NV and purchased many standard capacity magazines & used a screw in bullet button extension (tool) that was sold in CA.
