Calamity Kris Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Prayers up for our pards and pardettes in the areas effected by this weekends rash of severe weather. Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri as well as other areas were in the paths of these storms. Stay safe my friends. Please check in and let us know you're OK. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/04/30/severe-weather-at-least-6-killed-in-tornadoes-flooding-across-south-midwest.html
Calico Mary Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I drove thru Missouri yesterday and kept wondering where you folks were hiding the ark.....more than a little scary....stay safe!!
Warden Callaway Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Looks like we're in for round two. Pretty major system moving in from Kansas. Right now we're under the northern edge of the storm. It's raining and we can hear the thunder getting louder. We've been under a flash flood watch for about a week now. We took a drive down I70 on Monday and the trafic was much heavier than normal for mid-morning on a weekday. After looking at the road closure map, I'm guessing I70 is one of the few east west highways open. We had sunshine most of the day yesterday and Mary mowed lawn for 6 hours.
Noz Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 We are getting the south edge of that storm. I spent 3 hours yesterday grading my drive way. Made it all neat and flat so the todays rain will have something to work on. 1.25" so far since midnight and the internet weather says another 2 hours of rain. Several portions of I-44 are closed due to water damage.
Warden Callaway Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 The thunderstorms are moving out this morning. I just checked the gauge and we got nearly 3 more inches of rain from it. It came slow but steady and didn't cause any more flooding on the farm that I have seen.
