LQ Jones .

I am a Open Top man myself.

Im just giving you a heads up.

What ever you get Uberti or Pietta .

They both have there own issues that will need to be addressed.

There are many gun smiths out there who can fix them .

I suggest getting some all ready done.

Jared at Long Hunters does a fine job on Open Tops and Cap and ball pistols.

You can order new ones from Long Hunters all ready done .

But if you get them used and not tuned .

You will need to get them tuned or you will just keep fighting the guns

And keep having issues.

Good luck Pard .

I am thinking you want the new Uberti versions that are actually not related to their cap n ball line.  These guns are larger framed and built to use common .38 ammo rather than the custom stuff that has to be loaded for converted .36 caliber guns.

LQ,

How about a pair of consecutively numbered Cimarron R/M .38s.  Corrected Barrel to Arbor fit, Two set of Barrels, once set cut to 4 7/16 (Ejector Housing) with dovetail stainless front sights, one set OEM 7 1/2 inch barrels, one set 1860 grips w/custom Bubinga wood, one set Navy grips w/custom Cocobolo wood, reduced springs and open rear sights.  $1200 shipped to your FFL
