A couple of days early sir. The 19th isn't until Wednesday.:)

Wonder if those boys in red were shooting Goez?

Well, Patriot's Day is a State Holiday in MA, and is officially held on the third Monday in April.....that's today.

The Boston Marathon, and the re-enactments in Lexington and Concord, take place today.

On a side note, a pal of mine has done a lot of genealogy research on his family and has discovered an ancestor of his was one of the rebels at Lexington. I thought that was pretty cool.

Humph!

As one who has worn the red tunic and bearskin busby, I am offended.

(Buy me a coffee and I'll get over it!)

My mother grew up in Lexington and an aunt lived there for 93 years. My favorite story is the Patriot (forgot his name) who fought on the Lexington Green, was shot, and died on the doorstep to his house. He is buried in a small cemetery near the Green with several others killed in the fight. They were tough folks who started our great country.

It is a long journey from Boston to Concord. If you are wearing a red coat, it could be a

very long journey.

I thought it was the trip back to Boston that was particularly grueling.

OK, Coffee or Latte? :)

LATTE???

Just for that, it'll be a large Tim Hortons, double-double AND one of Grant Hooker's Beaver Tails.

But that'll be OK 'cause then YOU'LL be addicted to them as well!!

If it is ok with you, I'll just have a cuppa Joe. I am a simple man with simple taste. ;)

Bacardi's 8 year would be my choice, but I don't know if you can get it south of the Medicine Line.
