That is a picture from the UCLA Mt Wilson Observatory camera high atop Mt Wilson in southern California.

Ah, you said captured, not took, in regards to the photo. My first thought was "Wow, where does she live? I thought it was in the mid-west."

 

Anyway, Good Morning to you as well, and that is a very nice shot.

No we're not coming back.  I have the website bookmarked because I like the views.  On occasion they will reverse the camera and you get to see a spectacular view of the basin with all the evening lights.  On a really clear night, you can see Santa Monica and the ocean in the distance.  Just a little slice of home.
