Guinness World Record - largest man-made object to ever move across land

The future USS TRIPOLI (LHA-7).

Two super-modules (sections of ship) moved across land to be joined in one of the final evolutions before being rolled into dry-dock to be launched.

Another record was set more recently when the mostly completed ship was moved onto dry-dock in the same way.

Interesting that the "largest things to move across land" either end up in the water or in space.

Thanks for the laugh Joe, but you're right. I never thought about that before.

LHA8 is expected to deliver in 2024.

I can't believe I typed what I did (must be the long days).  That's my excuse anyways.

The video is in fact the future USS TRIPOLI (LHA-7).

The previous record was for the USS AMERICA (LHA-6).

Time for bed...
