Jackaroo, # 29989 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Are you able to fit a Frontier or Thunderstorm hammer to a 1871/1872 Open Top? It looks basically the exact same frame gun.

Goody, SASS #26190 Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 I had one set of 38's that a smith cut and welded the hammers for a lower profile. I know Boomstick can do it, I'm sure others can as well

Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862 Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Snakebite lowered the hammers a bit on mine, carefully cut and welded them and did a nice job. Shooting FCD with them became easier, but be careful, much more lower than mine would make shooting two handed difficult as the hammer would hit the web of your hand

Goody, SASS #26190 Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 You can do anything you want to hammers anymore. All restrictions are lifted.
