Dead Eye Raith Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I inherited a gob of crap. In it was a bunch of dies, bullets, brass and what I think are really cool, two boxes of 32 rim fires and several brand new 30 round Thompson sticks. Is there any market for this crap? There is plenty of misc parts and what not. Also found a colt python 357 barrel, new, just a little tarnished.
Trailrider #896 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Try to pick up a 4-barrel Sharps pistol or a S&W 2nd Model in .32 rimfire to go with the ammo. Of course, you can only shoot them rounds once!
Cat Brules Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 You should be able to sell the .32 RF cartridges, but determine if they are 32short or 32long. Also, the Thompson stick mags should be saleable, as they will fit a few more modern firearms, and might fit the recent auto-ordinance semi-auto thompsons, as the mags were more readily available in the recent past.
Dead Eye Raith Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 They're 32 short. They are really cool looking, I may just keep them for a display though.
Cat Brules Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 If the ammo boxes (green Remington?) are in good condition the ammo is worth more than if the boxes are shabby.
Warden Callaway Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Just look on ebay. Apparently there is a market for crap of all kinds. Property identifying it always good.
Wyatt Earp SASS#1628L Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 32 rimfire are listed on various sites for upwards of $150 a box. It seems the Navy Arms ones are the highest priced. I saw NA 32 short rimfires listed at $185!! I recently bought an S&W 1 1/2, nickel plated with ivory grips and it came with box of the Navy Arms 32 shorts. From these asking prices, the ammo may be worth at least half of what I paid for the gun. Wyatt
Dead Eye Raith Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 Well, dang! They are navy arms! See, I knew I had a gold mine!
