Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Good visual indeed, Joe... although I'm surprised to see Madera County - where I am - is not dark green... Link to comment

Notice that my home, Sonoma Co. is brick read. Don't whine about light green. Link to comment
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Yeah, I saw that, Joe. I feel for ya... Oh, and I'm not whining one bit. A bunch of years ago I was at a Lion's Club lunch - our guest that day was the sheriff, John Anderson. A rather senior local businessman (about 80 or so at the time) asked "Sheriff, what's your stand on private citizens having permits to carry a concealed weapon?" The Sheriff looked at him and said "Mr Price, are you a criminal?" The businessman was startled at the question and retorted "I most certainly am NOT a criminal!" The Sheriff smiled, and said "Well, then come see me. I'm a gun guy, and if the bad guys have guns then by God the good guys should have guns too!" Anderson retired a couple years ago, but the new sheriff is cut from the same cloth. Naw... not whining one bit - I just think the map is in error - we're as dark as collard greens! Link to comment

Just gloating a bit, eh? Good turn of phrase there at the end. Link to comment
