Trigger Mike
while channel surfing i came upon a show of auctions of military and Americana on tv last night. they were out of Tampa. one item that came across was claimed to be a civil war relic from Ft Brooke in Tampa. He kept going on and on about how hard it is to find a civil war relic for the price it was currently bid at. It was a spigot. it had a large open bell on one side, a narrow mouth on another with threads and a "L" shaped pointing downward handle on a third side. i questioned it and looked on wekipedia and if i read it right this item was not patented until 1880. Tom Bullweed
No question there, and no nice answer either.
Capt. James H. Callahan
My wife used to buy a lot of jewelry on those cable things. I think I FINALLY convinced her that if a ring was actually worth $1200 they would not be peddling them on TV for "only" $695. I someone is peddling $100 bills for $60 it's a pretty safe bet something is amiss. JHC
