Bulls Head Bill SASS#33692
No......I'm not advocating this for a CAS match! I was curious after a friend gave me some .45 caliber round balls. I loaded 2 of the .451 diameter round balls in a .45 Colt case using a low end powder load. I fired them from a 7.5" barreled Ruger Blackhawk at about 50 feet. Those round balls impacted about 3 to 4 inches from each other from each shot. I will load some more!!! For what it's worth!

Ya Big Tree
I've done the same with 45 ACP. Shot a few but lost interest and quit.
Hoss
I read somewhere about loading 3 balls in a 45-70 case. Never tried it.
Bramble Mountain Buzzard
I cast up some round ball for 45 cal a while back. Just over 120 grains each. So, two would be close to what an original 45 colt load was.

Jabez Cowboy,SASS # 50129
This has been done many times and in many ways ,there used to be a couple of factories that sold these double ball loads for defence use ... Jabez Cowboy
Warden Callaway
I loaded some single 451 ball in C45S cases to try to make gamer loads. They didn't shoot very accurate. I suspect there wasn't enough bearing surface to get grip on rifling. I didn't try them in my Marlin because I figured they would turtle. I thought maybe a larger ball and maybe run them through a Lee sizing die to produce a waistband would help but I didn't have a larger mold. Besides, if I went to that much trouble to cast and size, I may as well make bullets.
Trailboss (Santa) Dave
Several years ago Remington ( I think) loaded 2 balls in a 38sp. They shot center mass and at 10-15 yards impacted about 1-2 inch apart, and at 25 was still about 3"

I found a box on close-out in a rural hardware store about 30 years ago. Still have a few left in the box.
