Just how big does a single stage press need to be?

Can you list how many other single stage presses this compact are made from iron and not alum? ;)

This would work well for loading 'on the road'.

+1. They have an exceedingly good rep in the shotshell loading community, and that goodwill will likely spill over to this new press... Yes, they have some stiff competition, but with most presses being aluminum these days, this will definitely cut the mustard!

They make great products.

I think they should have made a single stage press with a Turret .

Not something that just takes one die.

Thats what I ment by a little to little and a little to late .

If you really wanted another single die press.

It looks like a nice one.

But I dont !

Not to take anything away from the MEC, but my Redding single stage is also an iron frame machine.

Lyman's T-Mag is also a cast iron press, and a fine turret press also. Far more desirable than the new MEC single stage press. Just as portable, and actually allows for setting up two calibers, fully adjusted.

As already stated, it's about 30 to 40 years too late in the game.

Lyman Spartan single stage 1963.

$225.00?! Sorry, I'll use my Lee Turret.

It looks like a very nice press but for half the money there is the Lee Classic Turret, 4 station, auto incrementing cast iron press. JMHO

fyi for those who say 'too 'late', I"m on several reloading pages on Facebook, and the number of newbies to reloading might just surprise ya. 8 years ago when ammo all but dried up,the number of newbs was thousands. It's backed off some, but they are still out there.
