drjjpdc
Can somebody tell me why any number of sass guns are scribbled with a number into the metal?
Rootin Tootin
As I understand it, JM Marlin's are scribed with the last 3 of the serial number on the bottom of the bolt. Also, there are gunsmiths that scribe their initials or sign the bolt to identify their work. That's all I know.....I asked the same question some time ago.......Hope this helps...............RT
