Never 73's do not have replaceable cams, but earlier ones did. Do not remember when the change took place. Got my cams from VTI. GW

No.

I am talking about the cams on the finger lever that the lifter and lever springs ride on.

PILING ON!! PILING ON!!

There is a "cam" on one side of the lever only. Recent manufacture Finger Levers DO NOT have aa replaceable cam. Older Levers have a single replaceable cam, on the left side, so the lever side spring will hold the lever open in your cart .. or shut.

This is what I thought.

There are two cams on the lever. One on each side.

One is for holding the lever in position. The other for the carrier.

NO. Lever cam holds lever. Carrier is held by cam on lifter arm

I've seen a few, new manufacture Uberti 73 rifle kits with the old style lever/pinned cam. Occurrence seems random. Mario, he usa what he finda in da box or ona da floor

That's funny right there! :)

You could probably make a pretty good replacement out of ironwood, Ace, I've seen your work.

Maybe so. But I don't think I could do it for $18.00. :)
