Uberti parts

I ordered two main springs from Numrich/Eparts. The two springs I ordered were for a pair of Hombres or whatever they call them nowadays. The new springs were much thicker than the factory ones and were a little longer than the factory springs.

After hourglassing the new springs to match a pair of springs in another pair of Hombres, the actions felt far apart.

The factory springs are blued and thinner. The new ones are in the white and polished.

I would like to get the thinner blue mainsprings.

Any one familiar with the differences and where I would order them?

I guess I didn't do good asking the question.

What do I ask for or order? Why were the ones I ordered different?

Numrich frequently just gets generic parts. You just need a spring for a SAA. Some springs do need a little fitting if they bump on the back of the hammer when it is cocked.

Either of these should work fine.

Or for a stock spring scroll down to #36. Although I can't imagine why anyone would want a stock spring when the aftermarket tuned springs are about the same price.

Larsen, the rp Wolf springs are too stiff.

Opened Lee Spring. Where do I find a mainspring?

A factory replacement from Numrich is about $8.50. And it is fun to practice. Doesn't work though. Guess I will have to mod if I need the strong springs.

Lee Gunsmithing spring kit is $26.95. Mainspring and a bolt/trigger spring.

Uberti mainspring at Brownells out of stock. It does look like the spring that I need.

Just buy a Colt SAA and take it apart. It's filled with Uberti parts. At least that's what I read somewhere on the internet

Like much of what is on the internet, that is not correct.

VTI sells Pietta reduced power main springs. I don't know how they would compare to the ones the OP is wanting.
