Kirk James Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 As many of you know SASS Kicker and Cody James grandparents, John and Jerry Ryan, attended every World, National, and State Cowboy Action Championship. Unfortunately, John Ryan passed away yesterday of a heart attack. Having John and Jerry at these events was like having your own cheer squad at a Cowboy Action Shoot. SASS Kicker stayed her junior and senior years with John and Jerry to attend a more rigorous high school in Phoenix and prepare her for a career in medicine. SASS Kicker wrote in the January 2017 Cowboy Chronicle, I have grown so close to my family and the many SASS members that I also consider family.
