Alpo
Smart frog. My curiosity nudged, so I checked. "Hello My Honey" was written in 1899. According to the documents he found in the box, the cornerstone was laid in 1892. Hmmmmmm.
Cat Brules
I remember the cartoon! I also recall that a horned toad was found inside a cornerstone alive after spending over 50 years entombed there. Verifiable and documented. Probably where the idea for this cartoon originated. J-BAR #18287
Warner Bros. cartoons always had an "edge" that was missing in Disney, Lantz, and Hanna-Barbera work. They continue to be my favorites.

Trailrider #896
Well, I was 14 then. Frog was sorta like Francis The Talking Mule, or Mister Ed. Wouldn't talk when anyone else was around.
