It could be fun to plan a vacation that includes some movie guns...

First it helps to know where the movie guns ARE.

YES!!! I DO!! Nearly all the Cowboy (and other) guns were "rental" props. After filing, they were returned to the outfit that rented them out. Most of those rental houses are now gone and the guns were either cut up or went to private collections.

There's some in the Cowboy Hall of Fame and Museum in Oklahoma. I know they have some of the Duke's guns. Also Gene Autry Museum in Texas.

I believe John Wayne owned most of the guns he used in his movies.

Most of the other guns was props or rentals .
