Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Calloway

May you have many more and they all be

happy ones.

Rye, you are mistaken. The day is still the same length, only the hours of

daylight and night change. Today is the shortest time of daylight and the

most time of darkness. It only gets better from here until we reach June

21, 2017. But I guess you knew that.

No, it's the shortest day because the hours, minutes, seconds are shorter and the earth is flat. -_-

That's why it's colder also.

Thanks, I don't mean to hijack this topic.

Well, if we make it another 47 years I may get a straight answer from her.

Just as an example, we'll come to an intersection and I'll ask, "Anything comin'?". She'll replay, "I don't see anything.". Now, is there something coming or not? She only said she didn't see anything. Now I have to look around her head to make sure there is nothing coming. Other times she'll make a reply with some comment that seems total unrelated. Then there has to be a discussion that starts with the comment and ends with she doesn't know or can't decide.

She does put up with a lot. Our livig/dining room outer walls are picketed with shotguns in some state of disrepair. The coffee table is covered with boxes of screws and other small parts. The bench (seat) in front of the stove is my workbench. I'm using part of the dining room tabe to lay out a shotgun buttstock.

I took some old advice for a long marriage that served me well. "One one person can be mad at a time.". I figure after 50 years I may be my turn.

Happy 47th Anniversary to Warden and Sawmill Mary.

Takes a little effort on both your parts to make a marriage work. Seen you two in action-both of you do a good job of it!

May you have many more.

BTW, 1st wife and I got married on June 6th-D Day! That's another way to remember your anniversary.
