Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 (edited) I need to replace my guncarts wagon wheels. (after 24 years of shooting) I have found some that could be made to work but ... I would like to find the same type it has on it now if possible. Two, 14-1/2", Two 12-1/2" Hardwood, 10 spoke, offset spoke, 3/4" wide steel rim, Wooden Hub 3-3/4" inside to outside, with copper bands both inner & outer & 5/8" copper axle bushing It came out out of Amish country Ohio and was built as a kids wagon. Anyone seen some of these? Thanks Edited December 16, 2016 by Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Quote
Cat Brules Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 There are wheelwrights out there that will make these. Query "wheelwright" and see what comes up. Quote
Tennessee Trapper Tom Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Try Hansen Wheel and Wagon. That's where I got mine Quote
Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Thanks for the input, but... Cat, custom prices are crazy, as it is, it looks like $75-$90 per wheel for standard production is the going rate. When I got it they were on off-the-shelf item. I can get "stock" wheels but would have to modify them (bushing & axle size) & do without the copper banding. Trapper Tom, I'm talking with Hansen. The trick is the axle dia. & bushings, that's why I'm trying to find who made them so it would just be a bolt-on job. Quote

Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted December 17, 2016 Author Posted December 17, 2016 For Christmas Santa is bringing you a gun cart. I'm happy with my cart. I really just need the wheels replaced. Everything else is fine. Three boxes, gun rack, canvas cart cover etc. I will look into repairing them myself but time is always in short supply. It seems the time between shoots fills up fast. Quote
