I have always been one to try foods from different countries and cultures but I would draw the line at lutefisk. That and "Balut". Look that one up.

No, I had the opportunity for Balut in VN and would not then nor would I now.

They ONLY serve these "delicacies" to un-initiated foreigners!

 

They really eat cheeseburgers, fried chicken, and steak when we're not around!!!! :rolleyes::rolleyes::lol::lol::lol::lol:

All humorous in a way as we relish bologna, hot dogs, and viennie sausage here in the US. We just grind up all that other and masquerade it as passable fare.

Lutefish is possibly the most vile thing I've ever eaten. I've had some of the other things in the video, and they're not bad, just an acquired taste.

 

I would imagine a Norwegian would scoff at Scrapple, if he knew what was in it.

I figured out a LONG time ago that if I had to "Develop" a taste for something, it wasn't good! :rolleyes::wacko::blink::lol::lol::lol:

Ah... memories of Grandma Corneliussen visiting for Christmas. The invigorating fragrance of the lutefisk... uh... invigorating 'cuz I'd find an excuse to be outside in the weather... :unsure:
