The Cherokee Cowboy's "Guns of Autumn" was a great match.

Recommended Posts

Back in 2004, the Cherokee Cowboys "reorganized" after the "Gone with the Mules" debacle. I was asked to put together an annual match. The purpose of th ematch was to give people not local to North GA a reason to come back to Cherokee for more than a "monthly match".

I put together the first 5 Guns of Autumn as Match Director, until people got tired of my "crazy matches" and I was asked to retire. Since then the match has evolved based on the match director's whims. We went through Breezy head, Joe West, Bandlands Bob, and now Krazy Kajun. Kajun has made the match his "own" by changing the format. Still 8 stages one day, but no "mystery stage", only a standard match fee, and lunch included. he did a great job, and we appreciate his efforts to make this a great match!

Although the stages COULD have had some stories to go with the scenarios!

Will be back next year!
