McCandless Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Before I put these on GunBroker or on the Classified Wire (where I have to put a set price) I need to know what a pair of guns like this should bring. They are Blued/CCH .357 Bisley Vaqueros (older larger frame). They are consequentially numbered 57 series 4-3/4" barrels (or thereabouts) Smooth Action work by Wes Flowers (RIP). Serrated front sights adjusted to regulate POI. Widened Rear sights. Wes Flowers Hammer Stop. Cylinder and Ejector Rod Assembly Beveled. Transfer Bars Removed. 4-Click and Half Cock Notch by Three Cut. Minor holster wear to the bluing on the leading edges. Bores are excellent. No rust or corrosion anywhere. Smooth Black Gunfighter Grips. I can't find an equivalent on Gunbroker. Advice please? Thanks ~Duc~
Goody, SASS #26190 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I have seen similiar sell for 14-1600 the pair on the SASS Classifieds.
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Doubt you will find anything like these. Sure would like to see pictures of'em. OLG
Blackey Cole Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I doubt the work by Wes will bring any extra on gun broker. A year ago I would have bought them to match my 45 by Wes. Here you should be able to get $1500 plus our minus depending on the buyers knowledge and desire to have them. First Wes has left us so there will be no more with his work, second ruger no longer makes this frame except for special runs, third the 38 bisleys are not offered in Bach in the current models. So if you find someone like me that prefers the bisley grip, Bach and half cock action on their revolversyoull do well I honk I paid around a grand for my ruger om bisleys in Bach 5 1/2" barrels then paid Lassiter another several hundred to short stroke full race job them then had to wait from wr to dot to get them which in my case was ok since I'm not shooting them right now they were for future uses. Good luck selling them.
Cheyenne Culpepper 32827 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 you can always come down in price if set too high.. one of a kind pair.. but you can't go up... 2K... If I was sure I'd like Bisleys, I'd throw an offer.... good luck!!!!
Stump Water Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Duc, Camille has a pair of the same Bisleys. Only differences are: Wes did all the work (including 4-click/half-cock), the grips are original Ruger wood and the leading edge wear I'd call more than minor. Those pistols are slicker'n snot on a door knob. If the decision was made to let them go... 2K ... yep. Firm.
J-BAR #18287 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 When setting a price, remember you don't have to have everyone agree on the price, one person is enough!
