Trigger Mike Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I often thought an under folding stock AK fits nicely in a ruck sack and thus makes a good firearm to keep in the disaster bag with food , toilet paper, toothbrush, socks etc. you have to take a regular AR rifle apart for it to fit. an AR 15 pistol on the other hand would fit nicely and do the job, or so I am assuming.
Brimstone Bill Willson Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Just remember, shouldering a Pistol AR in front of an ATF agent will get you in trouble.
Trigger Mike Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 i imagine 2 things, brandishing any firearm in front of an ATF agent can get you in trouble and the other is that if things are so bad that i need a pistol AR then the ATF agent and i will be glad for each other as we will be on the same team.
Pat Riot Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Have you shot one, Trigger Mike? I have shot a couple of them and I really don't care for them. They are "fumbly" and awkward.
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Sort of a "solution" desperately seeking a ....... problem. I don't see any practical application for one.
Trigger Mike Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 well, i was trying to justify it as i am now at the practical age and try not to buy something unless it has a good use.
Shorty Jack Hammer Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 If I have to use anything in my disaster go bag, the last thing I'll be worried about is an ATF agent
Brimstone Bill Willson Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Him seeing you at the range with it, or seeing a picture of you shouldering it, would be much more plausible. https://www.atf.gov/file/11816/download

I have a Keltec Sub2000 in 9mm that holds Glock mags...it folds in half and would fit right nice in a ruck sack. I've got a "few" of those Glock 33 round mags. While not as powerful as a .223 round it'll do pretty good for some situations and it's legal to shoulder it too. Kajun
