Dungannon Gunner
Anyone out there familiar with a Uberti SAA 45 Long Colt REGULATOR 4 ¾ barrel (SN 1276XX? I friend of mine has this gun and I have yet to find any references with the name Regulator in the Gun Values Blue book. What years did Uberti make these, value? Any information at all would be helpful
Three Foot Johnson
Yep. It should also say AAINKC MO on the barrel, which is American Arms Incorporated North Kansas City Missouri. I had one in .44-40 that I sold to someone on here about 8 1/2 years ago. Nothing special about them - the value is consistent with any other used Uberti single action. Lead Monger
Have a consecutive numbered pare of Uberti Regulators. These are 45 Colt, 4 3/4" barrels with narrow sights. The cylinders are well chamfered to ease holstering and the hammer spurs are lower than a Cattleman. Very good for daulist or mounted shooting. Mine are marked on barrel, Top- Regulator. Side- SAA Cal 45 LC. Bottom- Tristar SA LTD. N.K.C.Mo. Uberti is hidden under the ejector tube. My son got them from a friend who did mounted shooting about 8 years ago. I shoot the heck out of them. Black and smokeless and have rebuilt them once.
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
As to the year of manufacture, you can usually find Uberti manf date codes on most of their guns (perhaps close to where their name was hidden). Two characters starting in 1975; Roman numerals before that. Reference table from 1975 forward 1975 = AA1976 = AB1977 = AC1978 = AD1979 = AE1980 = AF1981 = AH1982 = AI1983 = AL1984 = AM1985 = AN1986 = AP1987 = AS1988 = AT1989 = AU1990 = AZ1991 = BA1992 = BB1993 = BC1994 = BD1995 = BF1996 = BH1997 = BI1998 = BL1999 = BM2000 = BN2001 = BP2002 = BS2003 = BT2004 = BU2005 = BZ2006 = CA2007 = CB2008 = CC2009 = CD2010 = CF2011 = CH2012 = CJ2013 = CH2014 = CI2015 = CJ Good luck, GJ
Throckmorton,23149
Appreciate the years of mfg. list, mine is 1995,stainless in .45colt. Used it many many cas matches. I think VTI gun parts said it was a 'D cam' model Uberti, and as such a little less desirable because of that ? All I know is I 'desire ! ' it's mate . Yep,just another Uberti, but very solid guns.
