5 target double tap sweep with pistols shooter hits first target 2x hits second target 2x pistol goes CLICK and does not fire

My Question is after handing off the pistol does the shooter double tap the 3rd and 4th targets and 1shot on the 5th target

OR 1 shot on 3 and double tap 4 &5......So what is the correct way to shoot the targets and what is the call if any.

Thanks Bandit

Same choices as for kicking out a live round if you shot the same sweep with a rifle.

Here's a detailed link, as generated by PWB, to your 4 choices, only one of which allows you to have the possibility of shooting clean.

https://www.badmanbullets.com/oowss.com/SASS%20Rules%20Docs/Reload%20choices%20(edit%20Sept12).pdf

And, it's strongly preferred that you not "hand off" the revolver, but ground it safely.

But basically your 4 options are:

1- start with second revolver on the target where you got the click, put two shots on it, finish the sequence by reloading one in the pistol at the end of the five shots (so you can get 2 shots on the fifth target).

2- (same as 1 but don't reload at end) - get a Miss for a round not fired

3- Skip the "5th shot" that you got a click on - in other words, just shoot as if the first gun fired all five - Miss for round not fired

4- Shoot as if the first gun fired all five, reload at end of string, come back to the 3rd target and shoot it for the "double tap attempt" - a P for shooting targets out of order

So, if you can, do the first option! So, with second revolver, 2 shots on 3rd, 2 shots on 4th, 1 shot and load a MAKEUP round in that revolver and fire 1 more shot on 5th target. Clean.

You get the option to MAKEUP rounds that do not fire due to ammo or revolver malfunction, as long as you still have a working revolver that you can load on the line safely.

Good luck, GJ
