Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663
One of the very best of our generals. The Army had been practically gutted during the Carter years, but that changed. Army sure improved while he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Our units were brought back up to strength in personnel, we again had repair parts and new equipment, and funding for training. The strong military we had to drive Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait was due in large part to General Vessey. Godspeed Sir. SALUTE!
