Trailrider #896
One of these would be worth a lot of style points. "A Snyder squibbed in the forest. Someone laughed and fled, And the men of the First Shikari picked up their subaltern, dead. W' a neat blue 'ole in 'is fore'ead and the back blown out of his 'ead!" Three Foot Johnson
I usually use a .45-70 Sharps, Lee Shaver tang sight, bubble level front sight, etc. Pretty easy to put 'em where you want 'em. Last year I tried using an Armisport .56-50 Spencer carbine with the stock sights, black powder of course... took me 16 shots to finally land one on the 500 yard target... Rusty Parker
That barrel might get a little warm after 10 shots. good point, a de-fingered shooting glove isn't legal I take it? Used this for nssa but could always use a glove for the lead hand.
Calvin N. Hobbes, 17218
Your Maynard is fine. A de-fingered leather work glove is fine...the "shooting glove" rule applies to modern shooting gloves of the neoprene type.

Nate Kiowa Jones #6765
I believe it is a Stevens Tip Up rifle. Can't tell the caliber though. You are real close. It is a Stevens Tip Up and it is a rifle now. But it started life as a Stevens Tip Up 12ga shotgun. It now wears a Green Mountain barrel in 45-70.
