Grizzly Dave
Starting to think about reloading more calibers, and thinking maybe a separate press for large primers would be nicer than changing out primer feed parts, or the whole primer system on my 650. For those that have more than one press, what do you have, and why?
Kulshan 20262
Two, a RCBS Pro 2000 and a Rockchucker. That's all I need. Primer change on the 2000 is a snap.
Sagebrush Burns, SASS # 14226
Grizz - that sounds like a smart approach. I have three presses. RCBS Rock Chucker single stage for loading all my bottle neck rifle cartridges, Dillon 550 for 45 Colt cowboy loads in Colorado, Dillon SDB for cowboy loads in Arizona. After 15 years with the 550 there has been a "learning curve" with the SDB and if I were to do it again I'd stay with the 550 (same press) just to simplify the mental game. Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Use to have a Square Deal, two 550s, an RCBS turret press, a 650 and a 1050. I've gotten rid of everything except the 1050 and 650. The 1050 will only load pistol size rounds. The 650 will load pistol and any rifle caliber I still load for. Cliff Hanger #3720LR
I have 3 650s. Two on the bench. One for large primers and one for small primers. One under the bench as a spare. (remember I was reloading commercially and could not afford to be down if one of the presses stopped working) I have a single stage press on the bench. (mostly for load development) I have a MEC 9000G that I clamp to the table when needed. Many tool heads setup for various calibers and a couple for specific customers because they had guns were odd and particular.

Hoss
I use a Lee Loadmaster for my 38sp. I use a Lee turret for everything else. 32SW, 38SW, 44-40, 45 Schoefeild, 45-70. the lee turret works really well, easy to change toolheads, and primer sizes. A Pacific (Hornady) 336 for 12 g. I got it at an estate sale for $175! I also hand load some brass BP shotgun shells every once in a while.

Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
I hate changing primer systems, in a 650 especially badly. So I got rid of the need for small pistol primers! Now just have 2 550s so I don't even have to change shell plates to load my 3 most common cartridges. Make it simple on yourself. Takes less time and you make better ammo the less readjusting you have to do when you switch to a different cartridge! Good luck, GJ

Slowhand Bob, 24229
I hope to start loading again soon and do still own several presses, all of which are kinda in storage. My favourites are two Hornady LNLs , I did have three of the LNLS back when I stopped loading, the oldest of the three was given to one of my grandsons over a year back. I do have a couple of LEE junk presses but I am just to rough on presses for anything but the LNLs to stand up for long! I do not think you were interested in shotshell loading press opinions?? Happy Jack, SASS #20451
I keep getting rid of presses. I am down to 8 now. 2-650's (1 for LP and 1 for SP) 2 P-W's for shotshells 3 single stage RCBS's (1 is an old huge one for 50BMG that they haven't made for at least 20 years) 1 Redding Turret that I use almost exclusively for rifle ammo. Grizzly Dave
So many toys on the list and too little cash. I am drooling over the thought of getting an SKB 200e so that would likely come before a new press. The 650 has spoiled me and I think another for large primers is in my future at some point. I can't see rebuilding the primer feed to switch to large so at the least I would buy another primer feed set up for large so I could just swap the whole assembly.
