G W Wade Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Which model henry does he soft stroke. Just the Golden or any of them. Couldn't make out the picture, was just a blur. GW
Kuna Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I believe he can do any model I sent him my sons Henry youth model and it came back smoother and fills like it was getting smoother after shooting it with my son last weekend and the soft stroke make it easier to shot as it is closer to the length i am use to on my 73s. The rifle in his video is a golden boy.
Smokestack SASS#87384 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Ok. Maybe I am the only one who does not know but what is a soft stroke?
Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Ok. Maybe I am the only one who does not know but what is a soft stroke? Sounds dirty.

Russ T. Sites Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Ok. Maybe I am the only one who does not know but what is a soft stroke? It's a easy mod that widder came up with and will work with any of the Henry 22 rifles. If you take off the cover and work the action you can see there is a lot of un needed movement in the lever and the lever will stop forward movement by hitting a shelf . What widder came up with is to put a nylon 1/4" spacer in which stops the unnecessary lever movement and at the same time you don't feel the metal bang of the lever hitting the metal shelf. He also does a few other things to make it run smoothly. Before After
Billy the Avenger Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Ok. Maybe I am the only one who does not know but what is a soft stroke? I thought you had something similar in your 73... the solf steel lever and lifter Billy the Avenger
Santa Fe River Stan,36999L Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 That's pretty dang cool.....both the gun and the performance. Stan
LostVaquero Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Nice, I still wonder if it would work in other Henry made rifles like the BBs?
Lone Dog, SASS #20401 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Reckon that can be done with a Marlin 39?
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 After Lefty and Billy stopped shooting the 'Soft Stroke', I no longer had any concerns of it having a 'melt down'. I don't know where the brick of ammo disappeared, but my guess is that 300-400+ rounds were fired thru it on Thursday by as many Pards who wanted to shoot it. And, nothing seem to fail or any gremlins pop up. My thanks to Lefty and Billy for the video. I think I owe them a rifle mod..... ..........Widder
