Coyote Kincaid
Vision started to get a little blurry and longer distances so I went to get new glasses today. Doc was doing the eye test on my right eye and I kept telling him that the letters were blurry. He did my left eye and got it perfect. He wrote out my prescription and I told him that the right eye wasn't clear. He tried to tell me that it was the best he could do and that using both eyes would equal things out. They didn't get it right last year either and that's why I had to come back again this year hoping for better luck. I'm $400 poorer and I think this doc has a racket going. My eyesight isn't bad, I just lack detail at longer distances.
Presidio
Take your case and your money to another doctor. IMO, Doctors who don't listen to, or over-ride their patient concerns, or ignore their questions, don't need my business.
Widder, SASS #59054
Coyote, If you think you're being scammed, take your vision test info, visit another eye doc, and compare. It would be nice to get another independent test and not have to pay for the test. Good luck. ..........Widder
Cat Brules
Stop pay on your check or cancel your new Rx for glasses. Find the best MD Opthamologist (NOT Optometrist) you can find in your area. Do research. You could have something very serious going on. Could b something less so as well, such as macular degeneration, cataract, keratoconus. Hope you find what the issue is soon. Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
It's hard to be an optometrist these days, with all the bad things going on in the world. There's a lot of cause for pessimism. But I try to maintain a hopeful outlook.

Widder, SASS #59054
I complained to my Eye Doc one time about not being able to see objects at far distances. He told me to drop over his office that afternoon. Anyhow, when I got there, he took me outside and pointed up in the sky and said..."Can you see that object up there?". I said.... "Sure, its the SUN". He said.... "My goodness Widder, just how far do you want to see?" I said..... "I would like to see that you don't charge me for this cheap visit".... ..........Widder
