1873 Uberti 20" Rifle (SOLD PF)

Recommended Posts

Rifle is about 6 years old and the only remaining older parts are (barrel, mag tube, receiver, hammer, side plates, and carrier dust cover). Inside of barrel and rifling are excellent. The original parts do show some cart wear as you can see in the pics.

All other parts are brand new stock Uberti parts:

New bolt kit (newer style with retaining insert)

--pinned bolt, .357 extractor, firing pin & spring, firing pin extension, retaining insert)

New lever

New brass carrier & lifter arm

New standard links, lever springs, and screws

New magazine follower, spring, and end screw

New Buckhorn front & rear sights

New front & rear stocks with new butt plate (from Taylors)

New main spring and screws

New side plate screws

New upper and lower triggers

New loading gate and screw

Priced to sell at $950 (Approx 60% of new retail). If you are looking for a stock Uberti with new wood and new action parts ... this one is for you! Can do F2F locally or at Black Gold ... or ... buyer pays for shipping/insurance to FFL. Dealer must accept copy of drivers license.

Excellent track record on Ebay and Gunbroker (kid_ziggy) for 10+ years. Happy to send additional pics on request.

What is the barrel length and are you willing to ship to California?

20" barrel ... if your FFL dealer will accept a drivers license & you are willing to pay the freight and insurance ... sure.

I spoke with my ffl and was told that all transfers have to come in from another ffl.

What state are you in? It's legal for an individual to ship a firearm (long gun) to an FFL or Gunsmith. Going through an FFL is always the preferred way, but I've accepted rifles and shotguns from a non FFL seller. I'm an FFL holder.

I'm in California. This may be this particular FFLs policy, but I am unsure. I will have to make some calls and see if I can find someone willing. I appreciate the info, this may be a policy of the FFL, requirement of the county, or some other bull crap like that. Again, I really appreciate the help on some of the legalities in shipping firearms from state to state.

That's the case. There are quite a few in the Bay Area that won't accept from a private person, even though it's perfectly legal. I've found a few out of necessity since it's practically impossible to buy a Colt from any dealer. Where are you located? I might be shooting at Manteca Saturday.

I'm in Livermore. I was hoping to make it out to Manteca this Saturday as well, though I am in the process of selling my house and therefore have my garage and all my gear scattered.

I can send the rifle out through an FFL dealer ... BUT ... you will have to pay all shipping costs both ways.

Have you shot at Manteca before? I am sure there are a few folks there that have FFL license and would be able to take in a rifle with no issues. We can talk about it on Saturday if you go, or you can PM me for more details.

Kid Ziggy,

I am in the process of contacting other FFL Dealers in my area to see if I can find someone willing to do a PPT from out of state. Please don't hold onto this rifle on my account, if you get a more solid buyer, by all means, sell it to them. Whoever ends up with this rifle will be getting one heck of a deal.

Well ... the first (I'll take it) gets it. Like I said, I can ship from an FFL but you will have to cover the cost.
