Thanks for looking.

I could be wrong but I believe that gun was manufactured sometime in the vicinity of 1885 or earlier. Should not need an FFL transfer. Should be a pretty easy lookup on the serial #. kR

If you still have it at EOT I would at least like to look at it.

Thanks Yul. You just saved me $160!!!! I have an H&R break top in 32SW, a 6 shooter!

Lead Ringer is a stand up guy to do business with. I have bought a gun from him, a loading press, and bullets. If he says its a solid pistol, then it is.

I own a couple of 38 S&W's -- an old one and a newer one -- and think it's an under-appreciated caliber. Easy to reload and I find that Lee 9mm luger dies work as well or better than my 38 S&W dies (using the correct shell holder, of course).

I'm always amused when gun writers dismiss the caliber as barely sufficient to stopping a charging mouse. Ask 'em how many are going to volunteer to go downrange and try to catch one of those bullets in their teeth ( a la the Joe Isusu pickup truck commercials of years back) ... and I don't think they'll be many takers.

With mild reloads , which those old shootin' irons need and deserve, the recoil is mild and my experience has been that the pistols are plenty accurate ... better than most people can shoot 'em.

Bet you'll enjoy that little smoke pole!

Just my 2 cents!
