Did they miss the mark...?

Recommended Posts

So last July a young lady was tragically killed in San Francisco, the perpetrator eventually identified as an "illegal immigrant." This individual shot the girl with a firearm stolen from a Bureau of Land Management employee. Also, he had previously been deported multiple times, but had found his way back to San Francisco, a "sanctuary city."

Not surprisingly, there followed a wave of national outrage over this and other crimes committed by people in the so-called "sanctuary cities."

Today there is a news article about the victim's family filing a lawsuit against the SF Sheriff's Department, ICE, and even the BLM. Good for them!

Uh... sorta.

From the article:

"'The Steinle Family hopes that their actions today will serve to highlight the lax enforcement of gun safety regulations among the law enforcement agencies involved and bureaucratic confusion so that this will not happen to others,' Frank Pitre, the lawyer representing the family, told reporters. The suit seeks unspecified damages..."

Seems to me that their complaint sorta misses the mark. <_<
