Rabbi Sixgun
Were you just trying to buy them outright from Ruger? They won't do that because of liability if you don't have the cylinders timed properly. Did they offer to fit some if you sent your guns in? They said they do not sell them, but would "fit them" to a revolver that originally came with them....... And the SASS Vaquero is not one of them......... BTW, the rep had never heard of a SASS Vaquero... Got the feeling they thought I was just making it up... LOL.........
Chili Ron
Howdy, The ruger folks change their minds on this from time to time. You have to send in the gun and they fit the new cylinder and return it. When they are busy they don't want to bother. As to ebay, or even here on the wire, there is a chance they wont fit. I bought a 9 cyl for a 357, dropped right in perfect. And I can tell em apart cause the 9 is blue. Best CR and pard, everybody gets the new guy sometimes....

Thanks for the reply CR, seems as though I always get the "new guy". You just would have heard that conversation to appreciate it..... I've dealt with them for years and buy quite a few parts each year... I can make the parts fit if I could get them.... The guy told me the parts would have to come from the "factory"... So I said what's the # for the factory....... Then he said "I am the factory"...... My head is still exploding...... LOL....... May try next week.... Probably be best to sell the SASS Vaqueros and buy 2 convertibles..... @ $700. each..... They are proud of them........
Chili Ron
Howdy, I would have laughed until he hung up. TOOOOO funny. Watch the classified and ebay. Remember if a cyl doesn't fit yours, that's fine, sell it to someone else. It is NOT defective any more than boots the wrong size. Selling it to someone else is fine. Simple fact: all rugers are not created equal----Chief AJ. Best CR
Dutch Nichols, SASS #6461
If you find 357 cylinders you can always have them bored out and they will probably be more accurate than factory 45acp cylinders.
